Part 2 - Swimming at Noi's

The Olde Swimming Hole
After settling in at Noi’s, being fed and watered and catching up with lives, I was asked what I wanted to do.  In the heat and thinking of Yensabai Condo pool, I half jokingly suggested swimming. In a flash a bunch of stuff was thrown in the back of the Beast along with 3 kids and we were off 2 kms down the dirt road to the swimming hole. Actually there were many ponds of varying sizes that, unlike the previous years, were full of fresh and flowing water. Mats were laid on the ground, protection from the sun was found, bottles of beer and water appeared then into the cooling water we plunged. Wonderful!

Noi explained the these were fish holes as well and he came fishing here almost everyday with great success. I was struck by the thought that wealth in life comes in many forms.
We did a lot of swimming on the road trip and Neung , who was a non-swimmer when we started, was doing quite well at the end.
